My name is Matthew (Matt) Nadar. I'm a Junior Honors Computer Science Major with a concentration in Data Science at the University of Delaware. I have minors in Math and Sociology.

ABOUT

Hello again, I'm a Junior Computer Science student who is passionate about leveraging computer science to help people first and foremost. I have a passion for learning and have taken a wide range of courses, both in STEM and humanities disciplines. This diverse academic journey as given me a well-rounded and unique perspective.

I am currently an undergraduate research assistant, assisting in conducting research to help develop personalized, dynamic feedback on student submitted work in introductory computer science courses.

I work on the Sage Discord bot for the University of Delaware Computer Science department's official discord server, which has over 3,000 students and 30+ professors. The bot and server are managed and maintained by four undergraduates, including myself, on behalf of the university's CIS department. The bot has many features to enhance the learning and college community experience, including the ability to ask private questions for professors/TAs to view, and in-chat polls.

I am also an Undergradute Teaching Assistant for the Computer Science Department. I teach 15-20 students in course lab sections. I grade assignments and provide constructive feedback to enhance student comprehension and coding proficiency.

SKILLS

Languages
I've used Python, Java, and C in my academic work, creating projects often involving data structures. I've used HTML and CSS to create websites (such as this one). My TypeScript exeperience has been through my work with the Sage Discord Bot at UD.
Tools
I've worked with DiscordJS through my work with the Sage Bot at UD. As a former statistics major, I am familiar with using JMP to perform data analysis. I've also used Mathematica in my math courses at UD to visualize data.

The Environmental Justice Project Website
I created this website for our club so that people can learn about and contact us. It was my first time experimenting with web development and I'm very happy with how it turned out!

INTERESTS

Color Guard
In my free time, you can find me in the University of Delaware Marching Band as a member of the color guard. I run an Instagram account where I post videos of myself practicing in order to get advice and connect with other people. Feel free to check it out!
Music
Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started playing trumpet in 5th grade and continued that hobby into highschool, playing in the marching band, jazz band, and pit orchestra. My favorite artist right now is Cavetown.

Recently, I started to learn guitar, and have been dedicating a lot of time to that. I've been playing for around a year, and I recently started a YouTube channel where I post videos of me playing.
